What to expect from a masterclass with Gemma

Experience the beauty of Castle Leslie Estate on horseback with a guided ride through 1,000 acres of unspoilt Irish countryside. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider, all abilities and experience levels can be accommodated. Ride through scenic woodlands, parkland trails and estate pathways while learning about horsemanship and enjoying one of Ireland’s most renowned equestrian destinations.

Each masterclass delivered by Gemma and the professional and friendly equestrian team at Castle Leslie Estate is tailored to the needs and experience levels of the individual rider or group.

Sessions begin with a safety briefing and riding assessment, where the needs and ability of the rider is determined. You’ll then be matched with a horse and a qualified instructor and provided with a horse and all necessary riding equipment.

Packages include a guided Estate trail ride or arena session, depending on your experience level, and access to the Estate’s equestrian facilities. There will also be the opportunity to learn about horse care and different riding techniques.

While in Glaslough

As well as being home to the world-famous Castle Leslie Estate, the beautiful village of Glaslough is known for its award-winning floral displays. When in Glaslough, be sure to check out antique shops and artisan food shops, including Glaslough Chocolate and Pocono Gelateria. If the gorgeous landscape leaves you feeling inspired, book in for a pottery class with Brenda McGinn and Busy Bee Ceramics.
