The 4 star Hillgrove Hotel and Spa overlooking Monaghan Town from a fine hillside location and with spacious public areas, is a leading hotel in the area for business and leisure.

The Hillgrove Hotel boasts 87 bedrooms, Fitness Club, Spa, Nail & Blow Dry Bar, Bistro, Pk’s Bar and Banqueting Suites. The hotel is a one hour drive from Dublin and Belfast and is within easy access to cycling and walking trails.

The fitness club includes a swimming pool, feature pool, kid’s pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, outdoor hot tub, gym and aerobics studio. The Spa has five treatment rooms with a large selection of Elemis treatments and therapies available. It also has a mud rasul, hydrotherapy pool, herbal sauna, pedi spas, and ice fountain, experience showers, relaxation room.

The hotel has an outdoor playground, cinema room, family rooms, children’s menu and family changing rooms. The little VIP’s get a welcome pack on check in. In addition to this, five hours of free kids clubs is offered every day during school holidays in the Explorers Kids Club. Families are made very welcome here and, unusually, special needs are well catered for, including at the leisure centre, which has a special needs changing room. With a playroom, Cinema Room, outdoor playground, and also a Kids Club during school holidays, the Hillgrove is a very appealing and attractively priced destination for family breaks. A lot of the family rooms have bunk beds.
In 2022 the Hillgrove Hotel & Spa also introduced a Sensory room. Sensory spaces provide an environment in which you can create events which focus on particular senses such as feel, vision, sound, smell and taste as well as more abstract senses of wellbeing, space, time, togetherness and many more. We have had very positive feedback from families. Just to advise that the sensory room needs to be booked directly with the hotel.

The Bistro offers excellent cuisine and extensive wines. This contemporary restaurant has a large terrace looking out over the town and in addition, PK’s Bar serves a menu all day. The Toulouse-Lautrec resident’s lounge is also available to unwind at any time, ensuring this venue has something to cater for everyone’s needs.

The Hillgrove Hotel & Spa were recognised as Highly Commended Family Hotel of the Year 2020: Ireland Guide - Georgina Campbell Hotel of the Year Awards and have also won numerous Family Friendly Hotel Awards.
