Virtual Walks in Co. Monaghan

Castleblayney Virtual Walk

From majestic Lough Muckno and the well-trodden former Hope Estate, to Mullyash Mountain, the second highest point in the county, with far-reaching views out over Monaghan’s distinctive drumlin-dotted landscape, Castleblayney is home to numerous scenic walks. There is an abundance of history in the area, with Mullyash Cairn thought to date back to the early Neolithic period, while Hope Castle was once owned by the Hope family, after whom the infamous Hope Diamond is named.

With thanks to local guide, Martin Brady, for sharing his knowledge of the area, and to Trek Ireland for producing the clip.
