Virtual Walks in Co. Monaghan

Sliabh Beagh Virtual Walk

Martin from Sliabh Beagh Adventures introduces the breathtaking Sliabh Beagh region in North Monaghan. The last remaining nesting ground for species of rare birds such as the hen harrier, Sliabh Beagh is a designated Special Protection Area.

Here you will find the highest point in the county, from which you can see 14 counties on a clear day – from the Cooley Mountains, Mourne Mountains and Slieve Gullion, beyond to the Belfast Hills and Cuilcagh Mountain in Fermanagh, home to the famous ‘stairway to heaven’.

With numerous way-marked trails, Sliabh Beagh is ripe for exploration – hike or bike, the choice is yours!
