Gardening for Biodiversity Family Day

Join us on 9th August for our second Gardening for Biodiversity Family Day! The theme is habitat creation!!

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Síolta Chroí Carrickmacross Monaghan (eircode available after booking)We will explore different themes each month – ranging from creating habitat for insects and birds, to planting trees and hedgerows, to bringing diversity of plants to our gardens, and looking at water sources and biodiversity friendly practices at home.
The workshops are open to all types of families and fun will be had whatever the age!
Please note, this is not a drop-off event, children are to accompanied by at least one parent or adult caregiver.
The cost is €10 per child – no charge for under 2 years olds.
Inspired by the Heritage Council of Irelands’ series of publications and videos “Gardening for Biodiversity” and supported through funding directly from the Heritage Council, we will bring families through a fun and engaging exploration of wider nature here at our regenerative farm just outside Carrickmacross and fill them enthusiasm and ideas for how to bring more nature and biodiversity into their gardens and lives back home.
