Just Two Hands Art Exhibition

Monaghan Artists Launch Their Second Successful Exhibition This weekend

A group of Monaghan artists and creatives are hosting a weekend of talks, demos and exhibitions at The Market House in Monaghan Town on the weekend of 14th -16th Nov.

Organised by artist Aisling Slattery Fanning, the Just Two Hands exhibition will be a wonderful showcase for the many talented Monaghan creatives in the lead up to the festive season.

The exhibition will include paintings, textiles, fashion design, and ceramics from a total of 40 local creatives.

The opening ceremony will take place on Friday 14th Nov at 7pm when visual artist Orlagh Meegan-Gallagher will officially launch the exhibition. Orlagh is a member of Visual Artists Ireland and her work has been exhibited in both Dublin and London. Orlagh works in paint, textiles and mixed media and her focus is to make art accessible for everyone.

On Saturday 15th November there will be a variety of demonstrations in Macrame, Digital Illustration and Pottery Making from local artists Brandy Monet, Jennifer Woods and Lisa McCabe and on Sunday 17th Nov Nelius Flynn will give an artists talk on the methods and inspiration behind his work.

‘This is certainly an exhibition of art and creativity available to all’ says Aisling ‘and I am delighted that we have the opportunity to  host our second Just Two Hands expo with the support of Monaghan Arts Office and Monaghan Co Council.
