Old Carrick Mill Gin Run 5k

Join us for the Old Carrick Mill Gin Run — We are proudly hosting for the second consecutive year the only Irish & European 5K Gin Run — What better way to celebrate World Gin Day!

Hosted by Old Carrick Mill Distillery, this unique event brings together fitness, fun, and exceptional Irish gin for an unforgettable day out.

This year, we are delighted to partner with Nuremore Estate by McGettigan’s. The race will begin here. Take in the stunning surroundings on a scenic 5K journey through the beautiful Monaghan countryside.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or simply in it for the craic, this event is open to everyone. The route can be run, jogged, or walked, making it suitable for all fitness levels.

Participants will start at Nuremore Estate by McGettigan’s, making their way along a picturesque route featuring local landmarks including Shirley’s Estate and the iconic Red Door, before crossing the finish line at the home of Old Carrick Mill Gin — Old Carrick Mill Distillery — where the celebrations begin.

Once the post-race festivities are complete, complimentary transport will be provided to bring all participants back to Nuremore Estate by McGettigan’s.

Prizes will be awarded on the day for overall male and female finishers, as well as spot prizes for random finishing slots (just for fun).

Participants must be 18 years or older to take part.
